The Toronto Diocesan Council of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) is celebrating its 100th anniversary this week and we want to acknowledge the great contributions of its members who make the Archdiocese of Toronto a better place.

Since its first meeting on June 3, 1921, CWL members have offered their love to others during good times and bad. Today, more than 7,000 CWL members contribute to their community at about 100 parishes across the Archdiocese of Toronto.

Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, recorded a message for this great anniversary, which you can watch here. Cardinal Collins also recorded a message for the CWL in Toronto's 100th Annual General Meeting that happened on May 15, 2021, which you can watch here

The CWL has many events planned throughout the year, including a virtual reception on Thursday, June 3, 2021 and a special centennial Mass at St. Michael’s Cathedral in October.
