Every year, the Canadian Church joins with our Christian brothers and sisters to pray for the restoration of the united church, as was willed by Jesus Christ.

This year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service in the Greater Toronto Area will happen virtually on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 4 p.m., being livestreamed from The Salvation Army’s Agincourt Community Church. Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, along with the Sisters of Life will pray for Christian unity with representatives from many denominations. David Wells, General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, will be the homilist.

This year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will have a special focus on contemplative life, as the religious women of the Monastic Community of Grandchamp, in Switzerland, wrote this year’s prayers and study material.

Making a spiritual connection through prayer with our brothers and sisters in Christ is an excellent way for us to advance the restoration of the united Christian church.
