Season of Creation

Season of Creation - To Hope and Act with Creation

Posted : Aug-21-2023

THANKS FROM CREATION

The Season of Creation celebration outside in the Garden last Sunday was a great success, with many parishioners discovering the existence of the garden for the first time.  Creation was delighted to welcome us all, and the bees feeding in the Pollinator Garden were happy to let us see their daily work of carrying pollen to other gardens creating a Path of Peace.

This celebration took place thanks to many hands and hearts – this summer’s Pollinator Garden volunteers, as well as Sheila Spencer of the Parish Council and many others who brought food, and helped with clean-up. Special thanks to the children who became garden-waterers, servers and clean-up volunteers.

Let us continue to protect and care for Creation. The Season of Creation Organizers are urging us to sign the Faith Letter for the Fossil Fuel Nonproliferation Treaty. Read more at https://fossilfueltreaty.org/faith-

letter.

SEASON OF CREATION

The Season of Creation began on September 1st and the Climate Action Group hopes to make this a meaningful time for all of us.  The special theme for this year is:  To Hope and Act with Creation. The symbol is The firstfruits of hope (Rom 8:19-25)

There will be a gathering after Mass at the Pollinator Garden during the Season of Creation on Sunday, September 15th after the 10 am Mass with refreshments.
